Services

Athelas Institute provides a wide array of services for individuals with developmental disabilities.  

Every effort is made to customize programs to meet the needs of the individual requesting services. 

Services currently being provided include:

Residential Opportunities 

Athelas serves individuals, small groups and group home participants.  Supervision and support will vary according to the needs and preferences individual.  Homes are currently located in Baltimore City and Baltimore and Howard Counties.

Day Opportuntiies  

• Supported Employment:

• Vocational - both in-house and community options are available for training and bench work

• Meaningful Days - Specialized programs to meet the needs of Special Populations: 

-Seniors    Group    

-Dually Diagnosed  

-Head Injured                     

-Autism

-Severely and Profoundly Handicapped

-Medically Fragile

Vocational/Alternative Opportunities Program: 

Serves Those with mild mental retardation, psychiatric diagnosis, and traumatic brain injury.

Supported Employment:  

Provides Opportunities for individuals to work in the competitive job market with job coaching support tailored to meet their specific needs.

Individual Support Services: 

Individual and in-home supports can be designed to meet the individual's and family's needs in their home. 
Skills training, recreation, family support, assistance with household management and personal care are some of the supports available.
