"AO" serves those with mild mental retardation and psychiatric diagnosis.   Individuals with traumatic brain injury also participate in this program.  The Alternative Opportunities program offers vocational training, educational and recreations skills. Behavior support and case management, along with individual group therapy and door to door transportation are among the other services offered.
"EU" serves the severely disabled and those with limited medical issues.  Athelas provides meaningful day activities, community outings, crafts, computer and daily living activities.  This program also offers contract work, retirement programs and nursing services. Case management, behavior support and door to door transportaion are among the other services offered..

This unique program serves those with Autism and other Autism Spectrum Disorders.  "BCRS"   provides an environment to match individual needs.   The program also offers vocational skills, communication and social skills training. Behavioral support, case management, applied behavior analysis and door to door transportaion are among the other services offered.
This center serves those with mild to moderate mental retardation.  This program also participates in the A.C.C.E.S.S. college program at CCBC in Baltimore County.  The Community Resource Center offers school to work transistions, vocational evaluations and training.  On the job training, work adjustment training and mobility training are offered to enhance the individual's employability in the Supported Employment Program.  Transportation to and from the program and to work sites is offered, along with case management and behavioral supports.

Gwynn Oak serves those with mild to profound mental retardation.  At the Gwynn Oak Center, varied programs are available;  day habilitation, vocational services and supported employment.  This program participates in the A.C.C.E.S.S. college program at CCBC in Baltimore County.  Gwynn Oak provides meaningful days, community outings, computer activities, daily living activities and senior programming.  All work related programs offered at CRC are also in place at Gwynn Oak.  The same is true for all transportation and support services.

The Recycle Center is a Supported Employment opportunity offered by Athelas.  This unique center provides competetive work opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, who because of their disabilities need ongoing support to perform in a real work setting.  Those placed at the Recycle Center become paid employees of Athelas Institute.

ISS / CSLA

ISS AND CSLA can be provided in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Howard County and Anne Arundel County

Athelas serves individuals, small groups and group home participants.  Supervision and support varies according to the needs and preferences of each individual.  Currently, Athelas provides residential services in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Howard County.
ISS (in-home support services) can be designed to meet the individual's and family's needs.  Skills training, recreation, family support, assistance with household management and personal care are some of the supports available with this program.  CSLA (community supported living arrangemet) services include skill training with socialization, daily living skills and individual's choice of community activity.  The ISS/CSLA Director will work together with the individual and family to design a plan that will best suit your needs.

Specialized programs designed to meet the needs of special individuals. Included are seniors, dually diagnosed, head injured, severly and profoundly handicapped and medically fragile.
Provides opportunities for individuals to work in the competitive job market with job coaching support tailored to meet their specific needs.
Providing work training and work opportunity to those with a variety of diagnoses.  Both in-house work and community options are available.
